Jim Sigel Automotive in Grants Pass, OR is anxiously awaiting the news of when the all-new 2013 Chevrolet Malibu Eco will hit showrooms in the U.S. The new 2013 Chevrolet Malibu Eco has a great look, better fuel efficiency, and is hoping to regain its popularity as a milestone vehicle for GM. The milestone: GM’s first true “world” midsize sedan.
As a “world” sedan, the 2013 Malibu will be pitched to buyers in Europe, Asia and North America. The goal was to be able to engineer and design mainstream vehicles that can be built and sold worldwide. Overall, this will help GM reduce costs and gain a higher profit. In the U.S., the new Malibu means more. With hopes to break back into the midsize sedan segment and beat out Toyota, Honda and Hyundai, the 2013 Chevy Malibu gives GM a strong leap forward.
The 2013 Chevrolet Malibu Eco is a redesigned model, and is said to have several features that are impressive for GM. Offering up to 38 mpg highway – which is higher than Toyota Camry Hybrid – is one feature that is sure to win over customers.
Other top-notch characteristics include, refined handling to offer a premium style ride, acoustic laminated glass and triple door seals to keep outside noise outside, flip-up navigation/entertainment touch screen that provides storage for smartphones and MP3 players, and Chevrolet MyLink that integrates Pandora Internet Radio and Stitcher Smart Radio.
The goal in the U.S. is to make the Chevy Malibu a best-seller again. GM and Chevrolet dealers now have a competitive vehicle to go up against other mid-size sedan models on the market, and GM does not want to wait. The 2013 Chevrolet Malibu is set to hit dealerships within the next few months, but with no set date at this time.
