Black Hills Community Bank, a Rapid City local bank offers their support to Black Hills community organizations through their Pass it on Program
RAPID CITY, S.D. “ Black Hills Community Bank in Rapid City, South Dakota is spreading community support through their Pass It On Program, allowing employees of the local bank to donate up to $1000 to their charity of choice.
The Rapid City bank began focusing on the local Black Hills community the moment their doors opened in 2007. Through programs like Pass It On, dozens of charities receive the strong support needed to continue operating each year.

œWe pride ourselves on being the only bank that is chartered and located in Rapid City. With such a strong tie to the local community, we wanted to make sure our employees kept the community support going by developing the Pass It On Program. With this program, each employee is given $1000 per year which can be donated to one or two charities of their choice, said Jack Lynass, President and CEO at Black Hills Community Bank.
Employees are encouraged to donate either $500 to two organizations or $1000 to a single organization which will ensure the charity receives a sizable donation. Although employees are not permitted to donate to political organizations, the Pass It On Program has very few restrictions which allows each employee to feel a strong connection with their charity of choice.
œNot only do we have the Pass It On Program for our employees, but we strongly encourage them to volunteer and serve on non-profit boards and committees", added Lynass.
