SACRAMENTO, Calif. Aug. 31, 2011 – Keith Springer provides analysis on Berkshire Hathaway’s big move in the banking world and how it affects average investors.
According to Paul R. La Monica, reporter for the Buzz on CNN Money, shares of Bank of America stock were up 9% on Thursday after Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway announced it was investing $5 billion in preferred shares of the bank.
"BofA may be a good value here but that doesn't mean it's a great stock for average investors," said Keith Springer, author of Facing Goliath: How to Triumph in the Dangerous Market Ahead, and president of Springer Financial Advisors in Sacramento, CA.
"Buffett knows that the government is not going to let BofA fail. So he's got a quasi-government insured CD with a 6% yield and upside potential," Springer added.
