1. Create systems for things you do over and over again. “Write done every step of a task you do,” says Solo-E.com founder Zwierzynski. “Then look for ways to automate any of the process to make it easier. 2. Eliminate non-critical distractions. “Do you answer every email as soon as it comes in instead of checking it at set times? That is a big distraction to getting things done,” says the self-employment expert. .
3. Delegate. According to Zwierzynski, “No one is good at every job. It is often more cost-effective to outsource tasks that are taking too much time to complete or you aren’t very good at. And when you have the systems in place already, you can focus on more profitable things without worry.”

4. Painter adds that a huge time-saver is to set up every recurring appointment, either business or personal, in your calendar. "Whether you use a smart phone or a paper calendar, put in all recurring appointments, vacation plans, dental appointments, last days of school, and holidays you know you want off at the very first of the year." If you don't, your work will overlap these key times away.
5. "Make sure you repurpose your marketing content," says Painter. What you use in a print brochure can be used as copy on a web page, or as a tag line on a presentation. Don't reinvent the wheel."
