London Fashion Week is a unique event allowing both established and new designers a platform to display their latest collections, such as their fashion design, fashion accessories and jewellery, guaranteeing high octane glamour plus the odd diva tantrum along the way. And it's staying at its brand new home, the suitably sumptuous Somerset House.

London Fashion Week is an apparel trade show held in London, England twice each year, in February and September. It is one of the "Big Four" fashion weeks, along with New York Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week. The allure of London Fashion Week is not simply due to the designers and their latest offerings for fashion lovers around the world.

Highlights of London Fashion Week

* This February's London Fashion Week proved to be one of the best in recent history, and upheld its reputation for a being a hotbed of unbridled home-grown creativity and craftsmanship. With 21 officially scheduled runway shows and presentations, alongside countless spin-off and satellite showings, there were five names which stood head and shoulders above the rest.
* Started in 2004, Fashion Fringe at Covent Garden focusses on encouraging the spirit of extreme imagination, adven­ture and experimental design that London is historically known for. Designers will be asked to demonstrate an exciting, original approach but also the potential to make beautiful sellable clothes. Previous fashion forward winners include Christo­pher Kane, Erdem.
