Looking Forward To The Next Bigger SWTOR Patch

Well, the good news for all SWTOR fans, the next bigger patch is coming.

The new patch for SWTOR will add a brand new level 50 flashpoint, an operation based around a Rakghoul invasion, and a few other changes. However the next big update, arriving sometime in March, will be much larger in scope. The first addition will be part two of Rise of the Rakghouls, which will include a new planet called Denova and will include new PVP warzones and another new operation. They will also be adding in brand new single player content and space missions.

In a recent interview James Ohlen had this to say on the matter: “Game Update 2 is much bigger in scope. It’s further out from launch, so we can have much more of the team focussed on it. There’s Part 2 of Rise of the Rakghouls, a brand new planet called Denova which has an 8-16 man Operation and a new Warzone. We might also be able to get some new space game missions into it. In addition to that we have single player content that you’ll be able to go through as well…”

Possibly the biggest news about the second Game Update is the inclusion of the Legacy System. You may have noticed that after Act 1 of the story, you chose a legacy name and have probably gained a few legacy levels. These levels will finally be put to use in the upcoming update.
Ohlen explains:“It’s a system that really benefits players who like to play alts – instead of having characters who have no relation to each other you can create a family, and when you’re playing any member of that family you earn experience points for your Legacy tree. Those then unlock abilities and perks that help improve all your characters. I think that’s going to be popular. Characters can be related to your main character in all kinds of ways – siblings, father, son, friend, you could be married to them…”
