FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) September 14, 2009 --Those staying in London hotels this November will have the chance to enjoy everything from Chinese acrobats to British military bands at the annual Lord Mayor's Show.

Taking place on November 14th, the event has a history dating back to 1215 and sees the newly elected mayor make his way through the city of London to pledge allegiance to the crown at the Royal
Courts of Justice.

The journey is three miles long and begins at 11:00 BST from Mansion House, following an RAF flypast.

A highlight of the London social calendar, more than 6,000 people will take part in the procession this year, including charities from around the UK, marching bands and performing arts groups from as far away as Hong Kong and Kazakhstan.

Several local organisations will also be participating in the event, such as Streetwise Opera - a group which aims to boost the self-esteem and confidence of homeless people though singing and drama.

Following the procession, the Lord Mayor will light the touch paper for one of London's most spectacular fireworks displays.

Around half a million people are expected to watch as the skies light up over the River Thames between Blackfriars Bridge and Waterloo Bridge.

LateRooms.com also offers a variety of cheap hotels in London, which is great for those traveling on a budget.
