THE 3rd ANNUAL LOS ANGELES BRAZILIAN FILM FESTIVAL (LABRFF) WILL SHOWCASE OVER 35 BRAZILIAN FILMS Los Angeles, November 23, 2009 – Celebrating its third anniversary the Los Angeles Brazilian Film.

OUR MISSION:
LABRFF’s mission is to support and facilitate the Brazilian audiovisual exhibition and distribution in the United States. Moreover stimulate new business opportunities in the film industry. The festival has established a favorable environment to exchange information between Brazil and United States by offering panels, workshops, lectures, and networking meetings to its attendees.
The festival creates visibility and promotes the Brazilian culture throughout the most powerful medium in the world: cinema

ABOUT LABRFF:
The Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival (LABRFF) is dedicated to showcasing the art and talent of Brazilian filmmakers in the most recognized home to the motion-picture industry in the world: Hollywood.
The company was established in 2007 and it was created to be the first genuinely Brazilian film festival in the California market.
FULL FESTIVAL PROGRAM
The 2010 Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival (LABRFF) will screen more than 35 films including features, shorts, documentaries, animation and environmental films.
Competition:
• Narrative Competition: feature-length films
• Shorts Competition: Shorts are shown as part of short film programs. With their diverse and complex content, these films shine brilliantly.
Animation short films and environmental film:
A short program that will offer the screening of 10 short films in a single session
A film about the environment
Documentary Films:
Films based on the attempt, in one fashion or another, to “document” reality
Spotlight on Bahia Cinema:
A showcase on independent films from the state of Bahia
Conferences:
Offering workshops and panels for both the novice and seasoned producers
Lounge Talks:
The festival will have a popular lounge open to the public for “meet and greet“ with filmmakers, directors, producers, and people from the industry. A great opportunity to get connected with the Brazilian Cinema
