When the police arrive at her door and escort her out of her home, Robinson’s protagonist can’t decide if she should kill that man or kill the woman he was with. Or both. One of them had lied, she knew, but she could not yet tell which one. As the police led her outside, even more pressing was her daughter downstairs who was lying in bed crying from the pain she hoped the next day’s operation would help take away.

All her mother could do was promise her she’d be back in time to take her to the hospital for her surgery the next morning.

Meanwhile the distraught mother had to figure out if her man’s ex and he were concocting this situation for their own personal gain, or if he was just as stunned as she was.



It all began to seem like a dream to her: she wanted to believe the worst of times were behind her.

Robinson’s dramatic tale takes readers into this sometimes topsy-turvy, emotional world where a mother does ultimately learn that only faith and the ability to endure can bring her through the worst of times.
