Mizuno MX-300 Irons Reviews—To start with, the irons are good-looking. Topline is not fat and clumsy as are many sets purporting to be game-improving. The lightweight steel shafts are right for me at R flex and standard length (37.75" 5-iron). I purchased the M-21 grips and built them up with 2 layers of tape and a little extra in the right hand. Upon taking them to the range the first time to compare with my old set, TA 845m muscle backs, I immediately noticed how much cleaner the Mizunos cut through the turf---they did not dig! This is especially helpful on my home courses that have mostly thin turf caused by last summer's drought. In fact, the soles are just a little deeper and have two angles, similar to, but less pronounced than, the Eidolon wedges. They are all that I could ask for...good looks and good performance.
