United Kingdom of Great Britain & N. Ireland -- Free-Press-Release.com-- Aug 19, 2011 -- VisiRule is a powerful business modeling tool which enables business application developers design and deliver rule-based systems, expert systems, and knowledge-based systems as interactive web-based applications. Business experts simply draw their decision logic using a point-and-click paradigm and specify the conditional logic to be used to analyze the user's input at the relevant branching points.
This means that business experts no longer need to engage technical programmers to build decision support systems - they just need to understand and organize their own decision-making processes. By providing a rich graphical environment totally geared towards decision modeling, VisiRule helps them do this very thing. No more must they rely on computer programmers and software developers. As long as the person making the decision can rationalize their logic in doing so, they can write their own decision system.
LPA has put together a collection of highly targetted VisiRule demos on its web-site in areas as diverse as:
- Equipment Diagnostics
- Financial Investment
- Medical Expertise
- Legal Knowledge
These can be accessed on:
VisiRule Demos
Each demo shows the VisiRule chart as well as options to see which questions and answers have so far been given and to where in the chart the session has progressed. In addition, with some of the more simple demos, VisiRule has been used to compute all possible combinations of input and output as an XML table.
Like all LPA technology, VisiRule is steeped in logic-based programming. This helps ensure a high-level of referential integrity and provides the basis for auditing and verifying processes and methods in terms of completeness and consistency. Rules are naturally expressed in a logical manner and relationships between objects defined in a uniform and coherent manner. The underlying execution mechanism uses logical inference to deduce and derive information. There is a close and traceable relationship between the graphical model and the generated rules.
LPA offers an integrated range of tools for building intelligent rule-based systems. These tools support AI, logic-based programming, case-based reasoning, data mining, fuzzy logic, uncertainty handling, expert systems, visual programming and intelligent agents. This architecture provides a multi-layer approach to software development and integration
