LU PARKER APPEARS IN THE NEW SETH ROGEN FILM: THE GREEN HORNET

Los Angeles, California, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) January 11, 2011 -- Los Angeles, CA (January 10th 2011)- Emmy-Award winning journalist Lu Parker , plays a television news anchor in the new Sony release The Green Hornet starring Seth Rogen , Christoph Waltz , and Cameron Diaz . The film is directed by Michel Gondry.

Parker is no stranger to the big screen having played roles in Winged Creatures and An American Carol. In addition to the FOX network hit show Bones, Parker has appeared on several other popular shows, including Monk, Commander in Chief, Shark, as well as, the FOX network hit show Lie To Me.

Parker says, "The Green Hornet was great fun to work on. The crew was exceptionally nice as well.” Several directors have told Parker that news anchor and reporter roles are some of the most difficult to cast because if you don't read the copy like a professional journalist, the viewer will know.

A true multi-faceted talent, Lu Parker is an animal welfare advocate, author, former Miss USA, and a former teacher. You can find her reporting as a Special Feature Correspondent for KTLA in Los Angeles. Parker has co-hosted national shows, and has interviewed such names as Kanye West, Matt Damon, Eva Longoria, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Oscar De La Hoya, and Bill Cosby. In November 2008, Lu reported live from the Democratic Headquarters in Los Angeles as Barack Obama was elected.
