LUCHADOR MASKED STUDENT DR. LOCAZU HAS ANXIETY ATTACK OVER MASSIVE TEXTBOOK COSTS

(Free-Press-Release.com) February 22, 2011 -- Post-Secondary student Dr. Locazu was admitted to a local hospital this afternoon after suffering an episode of what doctors are calling “Textbook Cost Anxiety”. This incident occurred only hours ago as Dr. Locazu was set to purchase all his textbooks for that term from the campus bookstore, but went into a state of shock and panic when presented with the final total.

Wearing his symbolic red Luchador mask that represents the struggle every student must go through to complete their schooling, Dr. Locazu set out on his first day of class, excited about his future. Dr. Locazu had spent the entire summer working two jobs to afford his tuition fees for the year. After paying the fees he had what he considered more than enough money to cover the cost of his textbooks for the term. He was wrong.

Dr. Ed Headcase, chief psychiatric expert at the hospital explained, “Dr. Locazu’s near complete mental breakdown isn’t uncommon. We normally admit hundreds of students this time of year, all of whom are suffering from the terrible anxiety and stress associated with buying high priced textbooks. TCA (Textbook Cost Anxiety) is a real problem that needs to be dealt with.”

Bill Toohigh, manager of the campus bookstore, appeared at a press conference this afternoon and announced that “there is nothing wrong with the high priced nature of textbooks. So Dr. Locazu’s textbook bill was similar in cost to the down payment of a house? Big deal. Most students have trust funds to take care of that cost…don’t they?”

Research on the matter however shows that a large majority of students don’t have trust funds to support their textbook costs. This is a cost that many students face alone and as proven in Dr. Locazu’s case, a cost that may include your very sanity.
