Lusitania Passenger and Crew List

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 12, 2011 -- The Lusitania is and always will be remembered in Liverpool, the reason is it belonged to Liverpool built for the Cunard Line, and crewed by many Liverpool men and women, and it is the Liverpool families who hold the memory of the Lusitania close to their hearts for the terrible event which took place on 7th May 1915, when the Grand Lady was torpedoed.
After the Lusitania was hit by the torpedo it sunk within 18 minutes, for the passengers and crew there was very little they could do to save themselves, in all a total of 1198 souls where lost.

There are many books and web pages dedicated to the Lusitania which are all excellent points of research.

But know author and researcher Kevin Roach has painstakenly revised the offical Passenger and Crew list of the Lusitania. Kevin has contributed to the website www.lusitania.net with details of the marriage of the ships Captain Turner.

When asked about the Passenger and Crew list, kevin Roach said " during his research for the crew of the Lusitania he was disappointed in the lack of information relating to the mainly Liverpool crew,"

He added " The official list only gave the Crewmen's name and the department where he/she was employed, so I took it upon myself to try and find more details relating to the crew"

The list that Roach has compiled using resouces from the Commonwealth War Graves, Liverpool Voters Registers, Liverpool Kelly's Street Directories and various newspaper reports. has now identified a lot of the home address's of the crew which was not entered on the Cunard Official List of 1915

When asked was there any surprises he answered " One case that doe's stand out is that of the father and son Michael Cooney aged 40 with his son also called Michael aged 20, of 92 Hopwood Street, Liverpool which was just of Scotland Road, both crew members working together and both perished".
