Analog photographer M. Rabonza awarded seven Honorable Mentions in the 2011 international Photography Awards, sponsored by the Lucie Foundation

M. Rabonza was awarded seven (7) Honorable Mentions in the following categories:

1) Editorial - Photo Essay and Feature Story category for the winning entry "A Silent Spring"
2) Editorial - Photo Essay and Feature Story category for the winning entry "Phnom Penh, Cambodia"
3) People - Lifestyle category for the winning entry"Udaipur, India"
4) People - Lifestyle category for the winning entry "A Silent Spring"

5) Architecture - Cityscapes category for the winning entry "Postcards from Hungary"
6) Architecture - Cityscapes category for the winning entry "Budapest"
7) Deeper Perspective - Deeper Perspective category for the winning entry "Finance at Your Doorstep"

About the Winner:

M. Rabonza (b. 1978, Manila) was raised in Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines. After a decade working in public policy, investment banking and development finance across Asia, North America, West Africa and Europe, M.Rabonza turned to photography in the fall of 2009 to document how he’s come to see the world: filled with light, passion & colour. Now based in Amsterdam, M. Rabonza works in the impact investment industry, helping to provide funding for micro and small business owners in emerging & frontier countries.

About IPA:

The International Photography Awards is a sister-effort of the Lucie Foundation, where the top three winners are announced at the annual Lucie Awards ceremony. The awards event will be held at the Lincoln Center in New York on October 24, 2011, before returning to Los Angeles in 2012 in celebration of the 10-year anniversary. Over 8,000 submissions from 90 countries were received for the 2011 International Photography Awards with over 70 jurors, the largest to date. The Foundation's mission is to honor master photographers, discover new and emerging talent, and promote the appreciation of photography.
