M-TEC Promotes Paula Stoltz to Director of Medical Transcription Education

Stoltz Has a Long and Distinguished Background in Transcription Education and Has a Stellar Track Record with M-TEC

(Free-Press-Release.com) September 16, 2009 -- Fairlawn, OH (September 15, 2009) – The Medical Transcription Education Center (M-TEC), a highly-respected and ACCP-approved Medical Transcription (MT) training program, announced Paula Stoltz, CMT, ADHI-F, has been promoted to serve as the organization’s Director of Medical Transcription Education. In addition to being an MT for 25 years, she has been an Instructor/Coordinator at M-TEC since 2004 and was promoted in 2008 to Program Manager.

In her new role at M-TEC, Stoltz will be responsible for developing and managing all aspects of the MT educational program, providing program development leadership and incorporating any new competencies that would ensure that the organization remains a leader in cutting-edge MT education. The announcement was made by Jack McCullough, the President of M- TEC.

“Paula is an exceptional leader and has been a strong advocate of educating and training our next generation of MTs,” says McCullough. “She has also been responsible for the development and updates of our curriculum, demonstrating that she has the personal experience of how things were done in the past, as well as an ambitious vision of how they can be done better in the future.”

Stoltz earned a BA in Business with a minor in nursing and became a CMT in 1996. She has been a member of AHDI for 15 years and has been active in both the local and state transcription associations where she has held several leadership positions.

The Medical Transcription Education Center (M-TEC) was developed and founded in 1996 by experienced MTs (Kathleen Kropko, CMT, AHDI-Fellow and Susan Francis, CMT, AHDI-Fellow) who made it their mission to provide the highest quality education for medical transcription training. M-TEC's academic purpose is to prepare students for productive careers in the dynamic, ever-changing, and challenging medical transcription profession at an entry level. In addition to being the first school to be approved by the Approval Committee for Certificate Program (ACCP), a joint committee established by AHDI and AHIMA for certifying and approving medical transcription education programs, M-TEC also partners with a variety of colleges within the United States.
