The Canton Charge has created a School Day Program to help students from underprivileged schools in the Greater Canton area to attend a Canton Charge basketball game. Maid Brigade of Northeast Ohio has partnered with the Canton Charge and is making it possible for 50 local students to attend a special basketball game focused on educating children about healthy living and staying active at the Canton Memorial Civic Center on February 28 at 11am.

œWhen we heard about the program the Canton Charge had developed we were excited to jump on board, said Ray Toombs, co-owner of Maid Brigade of Northeast Ohio. œThere is a special excitement and camaraderie that comes from attending a sporting event, especially when supporting a local team like the Canton Charge."

The Canton Charge is offering local businesses the opportunity to sponsor underprivileged schools for the February 28th home game against the Idaho Stampede. Deserving schools have been selected and will receive the tickets prior to the game.

œWe are thankful for the support Ray and Margie Toombs have provided for these students, said Wes Warne, Business Development Specialist for the Canton Charge. œWe have been working together in a business capacity for several months as they have been the official house cleaners for the team apartments. It is with the continued support of our loyal season ticket holders and partners that we are able to make this program a success.
