Make Fast Wow Gold by Abandon Crafting and Use Gathering

It’s perfectly natural to think that you can manufacture a product, sell it to other players and make a profit.

ironforge-large The problem with this logic is that it is flawed. The reality is that every other new player in wow is thinking the exact same thing. Unfortunately, the result is that the Auction House is flooded with an over-supply of crafted items. Not only does having too much supply of that crafted item push the market price down, most newbie crafters list multiples of the same item. The end result is that most crafted items never sell.

The smart thing for new players or low level characters on rolling on a new server is to forget about crafting entirely. What you should do is learn two gathering professions and sell everything you gather to other players in the Auction House. Gathered resources are in constant demand and you can literally make a small fortune overnight.

Here is a list of recommended gathering professions:
Mining – Requires mining pick. Ore is trackable on the mini-map.
Skinning – Requires a skinning knife. Only beasts can be skinned.

Herbalist – No tools required. Herbs are trackable on the mini-map.

Since you can currently only track one gathering profession at a time, you should choose skinning and either herb gathering or mining. The only time you should ever consider dumping one of your gathering professions is when you reach level 40; by then you will be established and be able to farm mobs to raise wow gold to support your crafting profession.

If you feel you must be a crafter then you should consider disenchanting your excess green items and selling the resulting enchanting materials in the Auction House. You can always create an alt character and choose enchanting and disenchant your unsold greens yourself or ask a friend who’s an enchanter.
