Man Buys Valentine’s Day and Proposes to Human Billboard! Say what?
Reader’s Gold Award author Ruby Dominguez and founder of www.ibuzzaboutu.com - has launch a social network that promotes business products, services and events wherein she acts as a human billboard.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) January 25, 2010 --
“If I can wear it I'll show it; from shirts, skirts, hats, shoes, wigs, jewelries and sunglasses the list is endless! I'll read your book, poem, screenplay, eat your favorite dish and buzz about it. I am also a dog owner. My three dachshunds Jag, Hawk and the Good Girl would love to promote your pet products too,” Dominguez proudly states.
Recently, she was just glad when a sponsor called in and bought 17 days of February off of her virtual calendar with the intent to propose marriage to his girlfriend. But as she took the order, she soon realized that the names resembled the characters to one of her award winning books.
Nevertheless, she got the order, posted and spelled out the words: Marry Me, Sarah (heart) Mike on her website’s February Calendar covering dates from 2nd to the 18th at www.ibuzzaboutu.com.
While all of this was amusing, it was also inspiring to Dominguez who excitedly announced that she will put on display an actual billboard of February’s month calendar at "Cupid's Span" a sculpture by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen, that was built in 2003 along the Rincon Park area in San Francisco between 11am-12pm on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2010. Resembling Cupid's bow and arrow with the arrow implanted in the ground, the statue symbolizes the place where Tony Bennett "left his heart".
Dominguez invites the general public to visit her on this day to write their own love notes for their special love ones this coming Valentine’s Day on her calendar and she will also give away promotional items to the first 10 visitors.
When asked whether the marriage proposal was intended for her and would she accept, Dominguez pursed her lips and mimed lock and key and replied, “I will have to think about it.”
