MARCH OF DIMES WELCOMES NEW BOARD MEMBER

(Free-Press-Release.com) October 14, 2009 -- The March of Dimes is the leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health. With chapters nationwide, and its premier event, March for Babies, the March of Dimes works to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. In 2008, the March of Dimes invested $26.8 million in many areas of research related to our mission. Investigations include basic biological processes of development, genetics and new treatments.

"We welcome the experience and knowledge of Dr. Kathy Reilly Fallon, the newest member of our Board of Directors for the March of Dimes," stated Annette Trotta-Flynn, Executive Director of the March of Dimes. "Our Board serves an essential role in supporting philanthropy and enhancing the quality of life for babies born prematurely and helping prevent birth defects. Dr. Reilly Fallon is a Board Certified Wound Care Specialist and Foot and Ankle Specialist, in New York City. She served two consecutive terms on the Medical Executive Board of St. Vincent's Midtown Hospital in Manhattan, the Credentials Committee and was Clinical Supervisor of Interns & Residents in the Department of Surgery. She presently works as Foot and Ankle Surgeon for the Midtown Manhattan Health Center. She is also the Founder and Chairwoman of Heavenly Productions Foundation, a 501c-not for profit whose mission is to help children in distress.

The next March of Dimes event is the 2009 Real Estate Award Breakfast on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at the Doral Arrowwood in Rye Brook, New York. The Breakfast is the largest real estate event in the Tri-State area, drawing an attendance of over 500 real estate professionals. This prestigious event has honored outstanding individuals and corporations who have made significant contributions to our community through their vision, dedication and philanthropy. This year’s honoree is David Welsh, Normandy Real Estate Partners.
