From İstanbul to Rome to your very own bedroom, join us for this holiday that celebrates reading in bed. Remember, there are no rules – whether paper book or eReader, for five minutes before bed or all-day long, make Bring a Book to Bed Day! a part of your Saturday.

This year Bring a Book to Bed Day! focuses on stories – those we love, those about ourselves, those our culture imparts to us – each story shapes who we are and in turn, that is how we shape our world. So take a book of myths, a book about psychological insights, a memoir or autobiography, a favorite novel or some essays to bed with you. If you can tune in to it all, begin to write your own story to share with the world. Life is all about stories – and this year, bring a book to bed that inspires you to see the beauty in all the stories around us. Writers Lake hosts Bring a Book to Bed Day! on the last Saturday of February every year. Maria Alba Brunetti is a writer and has recently written The Goldberg Variations, a memoir in short story form, Princess Hipster, a screenplay, and a play entitled Trotsky in the Bronx. She is currently writing a book called The Quince Tree about her experience living in İstanbul. In years past, she was the sole blogger for Aol’s Bright and Spacious.
