Fans can go to youtube.com/markconnorsband and view Mark’s latest video of his new single “Country Summer Days” filmed in the historic Leipers Fork area of Tennessee, home to many of the country stars. A portion is filmed by a field on Tim McGraw’s ranch.
Included in the video is a segment with David Browning, impersonator of Don Knott’s memorable character from the Andy Griffith Show, Deputy Barney Fife of Mayberry. Browning, who performed at Mayberry cast reunions with Don Knotts before he passed away, describes Knotts as a “great person” who “…graciously asked me to take care of the Mayberry part of his show.” He has also performed with Don Knott’s daughter at subsequent reunions.
David Browning said he was inspired to come to Tennessee and assist Mark Connors with the video after checking him out on his website and seeing that he was devoted to helping kids in crisis. “He looked like a good guy to me,” said Browning, who most enjoys representing the old time Mayberry values.
Also posted on Connors site is a brief movie which includes full footage of Browning’s performance. “He looks like, acts like and talks like Barney Fife; he’s hilarious,” Connors said. “He had local law enforcement in stitches.”
Mark Connors will be taping a video of a second new single he recently recorded titled “Broken In” to be released in early June.
