Mark Sharma Reminds Tony Abbott of his own words

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) July 21, 2010 --
Late last year Tony Abbott defeated Malcolm Turnbull to become the leader of Liberal Party. On becoming leader one of the major things that Mr. Abbott had said then was that the job of the opposition is not to agree with Government but to hold the government to account.
Since then Mr. Abbott has disagreed with Labor Party on ETS, Pink Batts, School Halls Programme and Mining Tax. The fact of the matter is that all these disagreements have helped Mr. Abbott and coalition gain ground against Labor and that is precisely why Labor dumped Kevin Rudd from Prime Ministership.
What is interesting now is that there is one major issue on which Mr. Abbott is not disagreeing with Julia Gillard and that is the issue of Immigration. Julia Gillard wants to cut Immigration behind the disguise of "sustainable population".
I, Mark Sharma believe that "sustainable population" does not exist and it is just an attempt by Labor Party to garner few extra votes in marginal seats that can give them few more extra seats. But by following the same line Mr. Abbott is not fulfilling his own pledge that the job of opposition is not to agree with the government but to hold Government to account.
I promise to the people of Watson that If elected I will hold the government of day to account instead of simply agreeing with them for the sake of winning a marginal seat.
