FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) July 16, 2010 --
Mark Sharma of Strathfield supports immigration and would like a peaceful resolution to Refugee issue. He believes that government should concentrate on catching people smugglers, speed up refugee processing, put pressure on Governments in Sri Lanka & Afghanistan to protect minorities, and increase Refugee in take by 2000 to take up to 15,000
Mark Sharma recognizes that Tamils in Sri Lanka and Hazaras in Afghanistan have been persecuted a lot and they are fleeing their countries to find safe refuge in many countries including Australia. There is no problem in helping those in need but the government needs to have an effective policy to stop flood of boats. The only way these boats will stop if Australian Government pays more attention to thousands of refugees struggling in Refugee camps of Indonesia.
Mark Sharma supports an extra 1400 places for Tamil Refugees and extra 600 places for people from Afghanistan. Mark Sharma believes that boats will never stop unless Australia takes an active part in persuading these governments to protect minorities.
