The NY Film Exposure Network (NYFEN) to host its 2010 event finale on October 22nd at Room Service Lounge, 35 East 21st Street NYC (6:45pm). Over 213+ film industry insiders are scheduled to attend this event. The guest list includes; invited film, fashion, finance, philanthropists and entertainment media professionals.

Arriving guests will be greeted with complimentary gift bags and open bar cocktail hour sponsored by Ice Glen Vodka. Lights…Camera...Exposure will be an evening of film for a cause, conversation and connections.

The Itinerary
6:35 PM – 7:45 PM Open bar cocktail reception & networking. 8:00 PM – 8:45 PM NYFEN’s showreel presentation of featured talents, followed by the NY premier of Broken Clouds – A Yuri Alves picture. At the end of the screening, Producer Miles Maker will host a Q & A session with the featured talents and filmmaker. 9:00 PM – 10:15 PM more than likely guests will talk about the featured film or not, and continue to connect. About Children of Our Villages:

Founded by Erin Buckley, Children of Our Villages is a non-profit organization which aims to empower disadvantaged youth in villages threatened by HIV/AIDS. About the featured filmmaker:

Yuri Alves has been directing as far back as he can remember: “using his eye as the camera” whenever he played with his action figures as a kid in Newark. In high school, Yuri watched countless hours of films, which informed his dream of one day making an audience feel the way he felt about his favorite films. And so he began... using his family’s video camera to create movie shorts with his friends. "I fell in love with cinema at a very early age, started making films in high school with my friends, and learned filmmaking by trial and error."
Yuri has won multiple awards including; Yuri Alves. Alves was a 2007 semi-finalist in Steven Spielberg produced “The Lot”. His films have also been Official Selections in Cannes Film Festival Short Corner. Yuri has won over 10 awards including; Wild Sound Toronto Film Festival – Best Cinematographer 2008, 24fps Film Festival – Most Promising Filmmaker, NY International Film & Video Festival – Best Feature Director.
