MARX LAYNE & COMPANY NAMES JENNIFER L. CHERRY VICE PRESIDENT

(Free-Press-Release.com) October 8, 2009 -- FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., October 8, 2009—Marx Layne & Company—a full-service marketing and public relations agency—has named Jennifer L. Cherry Vice President. The announcement was made by agency managing partner Michael Layne.

As vice president, Cherry is part of the agency’s management team, responsible for supervising account staff, facilitating strategic planning, implementing operational initiatives and managing organizational development. She oversees clients in a broad range of industry sectors including retail, nonprofit, real estate and emerging technologies. She heads the agency’s growing social media division.

Prior to joining Marx Layne in 2004, Cherry worked as an intern for the firm.

She holds bachelors degrees in microbiology and communication from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and is pursuing a masters of communication degree at Wayne State University. She sits on the boards of The University of Michigan-Dearborn College of Arts, Science and Letters and Destination Imagination, a creative problem-solving organization. The long-time Macomb resident currently resides in Southfield.
