Mass Energy and Devaney, customers pay the same amount even if the price of oil decreases

Residents of approximately 50 communities in the Massachusetts/New England area are eligible for membership in Mass Heat Group's fuel oil co-op. There is no cost to become a member and applications are located on the company's website or by calling to request one. The application consists of providing contact information, fill pipe information, tank size and credit card information. All orders must be paid in advance by credit card before a delivery will be scheduled. Customers who don't know their tank size or where it is located can contact Mass Heat Group for additional assistance.

The price of a gallon of fuel oil can change daily, so Mass Heat Group continuously monitors pricing to insure that its customers are getting the lowest price possible. At Mass Energy and Devaney, customers pay the same amount even if the price of oil decreases. However, their prices increase when oil prices increase and are not affected by discounts either company is able to obtain as part of a wholesale buying group.
