Master in Italy "Intercultural Competence and Management" (distance learning)

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 9, 2011 -- The Master, directed by Agostino Portera, Professor of Intercultural Education, is organized by the Intercultural Studies Centre of the University of Verona for the academic year 2011-2012.
The course is divided into 400 hours of classes with distance learning, 60 hours of workshops in the presence (replaceable with other activities at a distance), 100 hours of internships and a part of individual study on digital, handouts and texts. The Master is divided into five modules and a sixth specialized module chosen by the student.

The five common modules are: Globalization, migration and complex society; Intercultural pedagogy; Intercultural communication; Intercultural conflict management; Intercultural mediation.
The sixth specialized module is among the following areas:
- business and international relations
- school education and training
- intercultural journalism and media relations
- social and health area
- legal mediation
- teaching Italian as L2.

Besides basic training on economic, legal, historical and sociological subjects, the Master provides pedagogical and cultural tools for effective intercultural communication and mediation.

The cost of the Master is 2,500 euros, divided into five instalments. For the payment of the registration fee, it is possible to access loans under an agreement with credit institutions.

Registrations will close on February 25th 2012 . Online classes will start in April 2012 and end with the thesis in March 2013.

The minimum graduate admission requirements are: three-years university course graduates or specialized graduates. High school graduates are also admitted, but only with the audience formula at the reduced cost of 1,800 euros, divided into instalments too.
It is also possible to enrol in a single module at a reduced cost, as a graduate or as an auditor with final confirmation of the study done.

The Master gives 60 university credits (CFU), and concludes with a Master's thesis and graduation.
