Matt H Fleeger’s Early Experiences in Oil and Gas
Matt Fleeger used his marketing and finance prowess to secure executive positions with several Texas-based oil and gas companies from 1986 to 1993. One of the companies that he worked for was Gulf Coast Western. Gulf Coast Western was founded by Matthew H Fleeger’s father in 1970 and focuses on domestic U.S. oil and gas reserve exploration, acquisition, and development. Fleeger’s professional experiences with these companies gave him the background that he needed to found his own company and put use his skills to develop it into a regional leader in its industry.
Matthew H Fleeger Founds a Waste Management Company
Matthew H Fleeger founded MedSolutions, Inc in 1993. MedSolutions, Inc was a diversified holding company that focused on provided comprehensive healthcare waste management solutions to medical facilities. The company’s services included the transportation, disposal, and treatment of regulated medical wastes.
Matt Fleeger served as the company’s CEO, President, and Chairman/director, which gave him the opportunity to hone his business skills by applying them to his own organization. He and his team executed several acquisitions that helped turn MedSolutions, Inc into one of the top providers of medical waste management in the region. In November 2007, Fleeger negotiated the sale of MedSolutions, Inc to the industry leader, Stericycle (nasdaq:srcl), for approximately $59 million.
Matt Fleeger Returns to Gulf Coast Western
After negotiating the sale of MedSolutions, Matt Fleeger decided to return to the oil and gas industry. He accepted an offer to preside over Gulf Coast Western as the company’s President and CEO. The past two decades of experience in finance, marketing, acquisitions, corporate structuring, debt and equity vehicles, and mergers gives him the insights that he needs to lead this domestic U.S. oil and gas reserves company to new successes.
Matthew H Fleeger’s Interests in the Tanning Industry
As if Matthew Fleeger had not already accomplished enough with his career, he has also helped found two successful tanning companies. Fleeger was instrumental in the development of Palm Beach Tan, Inc, which started as a small six-store operation and is now one of the country’s largest chains of indoor tanning operators. His other tanning interest, Mystic Tan, has had even more success. With Matt H Fleeger’s assistance, Mystic Tan has grown into the world’s largest indoor tanning booth franchise.
