Maybank MoneyTree Young Entrepreneur Startup (YES 2) Challenge - Judging Session...

(Free-Press-Release.com) March 24, 2010 -- Petaling Jaya – MoneyTree will be organizing the Maybank MoneyTree Young Entrepreneur Startup (YES 2) Judging session this March 27th at Taylor’s University College, Lakeside Campus. The Judging session will see the TOP 12 teams fighting their way to the Top 6 spots in YES 2, to get a chance to pitch for start up capital to fund their Business Ideas.

Each team would be given 8 minutes to present their ideas to the YES Advisory Panel and Judges, followed by a 5 minute Q & A session with the Judges. Teams would have to defend their business ideas against the scrutiny of the judges.

MoneyTree Asia Pacific CEO, Mr Michael Reyes stated, “It’s amazing when you see the passion, commitment, and drive of these young aspiring Entrepreneurs. It really goes to show that our youths do not lack the capacity to excel and shine if given the right guidance, opportunities and platforms. There’s certainly much more we can do with our youths in terms of getting them to break through, stand out and be the best they can be.”

The judging session would be the final found of elimination for YES 2 teams. After the Judging session, the Top 6 teams will start to prepare for the Pitching stage, where they would pitch for start up funds to run a pilot project of their business plan. Each team would be allowed to solicit up to RM 25,000 from private investors.

The Venue for the YES 2 Challenge Judging Session is sponsored by Taylor’s University College, who are also one of the Event Partners for the YES 2 Judging Session.

About the Maybank MoneyTree YES Challenge:

The Maybank MoneyTree YES challenge is a business challenge organized by MoneyTree to help Young, Vibrant Entrepreneur Aspirants launch their business ideas into the market and ultimately turn those ideas into profitable ventures. The challenge not only allows young Entrepreneurs / aspiring Entrepreneurs to learn skills that would sharpen their Entrepreneurial mindsets, but to also provide them with the opportunity to experience the practical applications of the Entrepreneurial skills they acquired through the MoneyTree Entrepreneur Fast Track program. Ultimately, YES teams who have proven their worth would be channelled to government pre-seed grants for full commercialization of their ideas.
