MBA Admissions 2012-14: IMT, BIMTECH, TAPMI, NIIT University extend application deadlines

NOIDA, U.P, India, Republic of (Free-Press-Release.com) January 17, 2012 -- Now that you know your percentile of CAT 2011 exam, you have a better idea on which B-schools you should apply compared to the past few months. Though the deadlines of most of the top B-schools have been already met, there are some B-schools which have farther extended their last dates of applications.

In this article of MBAUniverse.com, we will give you the names of those B-schools which have extended their application deadlines and the new dates.

IMT Ghaziabad

Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Ghaziabad, which also has campuses in Nagpur, Hyderabad and Dubai, has extended the application deadline for the academic year 2012-14 from December 14, 2011 to Friday, January 20, 2012.

The expected cut off percentile for CAT 2011 is more than 90. The programs offered by the B-School are Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), PGDM – Finance, PGDM – Marketing, PGDM – HR PGDM – IT and PGDM – IB. The eligibility of the institute is a Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 50 per cent aggregate. The application fee is Rs. 1750.

BIMTECH Greater Noida

Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) Greater Noida and Bhubaneswar campuses have extended the application deadlines for the MBA programs till Friday, January 20, 2012. The previous application deadline was Saturday, December 31, 2011.

The cut off for CAT and XAT exams is 75 percentile and above. For MAT takers, it is 85 percentile and above. The flagship program offered by BIMTECH is PGDM. The other programs offered by BIMTECH Greater Noida are PGDM (International Business), PGDM (Insurance Business), PGDM (Retail Management) and PGDM (Sustainable Development Management).

Candidates interested in applying to BIMTECH should have Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with minimum 50 per cent aggregate. Candidates can apply online or by buying the BIMTECH admission form from the institute or Axis Bank branches. The cost of online application is Rs. 1850 and that of buying the forms is Rs. 1800.

TAPMI Manipal

T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) Manipal had the application deadline of January 15, 2012 which has been now extended till Wednesday, February 15, 2012.

TAPMI will make the call on the basis of the profile of the candidate. The MBA programs offered by TAPMI are PGDM and PGDM Healthcare. The eligibility for the application is to have a graduation degree with 50 per cent aggregate. The selection will be based on the scores of CAT 2011, XAT 2012, GMAT 2011 or GRE 2011. The application fee is Rs. 1500.

NIIT University

The last date of application for NIIT University MBA program is January 31, 2012. The previous deadline for the application to the MBA programs was December 31, 2011.

The eligibility of the MBA program is minimum 50 per cent in graduation. The selection will take place through the scores of CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT and NUMAT, which is the entrance exam of NIIT University.
