The author Kevin Roach researched the family history of Beatle Paul with the support of Paul and Mike and is loaded with facts that even surprised the McCartney brothers.

Kevin said the inspiration for the book came from the lack of facts surrounding the childhood of the most famous singer songwriter in the world today.

As well as uncovering new details of Paul's great grandparents and a full history of his mum and dad it also covers the life of Paul and Mike from their birth in working class Liverpool to the first steps to fame.

Some of the surprises include the catholic christening record of Paul and the discovery of a school essay the Paul wrote in 1953, in which he won a competition at the age of 10 years old.

It also covers all the house moves the young boys made during their childhood owing to their mum being employed as a midwife by the Liverpool health service.

And her retirement letter that was sent to the Health service as she wanted to spend more time with her boys as they were growing up, it was this decision that made the family move to Forthlin Road.

It also tells the history behind the Beatles and how Paul met George Harrison and John Lennon, and their early history of the group that changed the world.
