McIlroy Wins Again in Hong Kong: A Fan’s Take

After shooting a first round score of six under 64, Rory kind of sputtered off a bit with second and third rounds of one under (69) and even (70), before coming back with a great final round and winning the UBS Hong Kong Open.

What impresses me the most about him is not his golf swing but the way he handles himself both on and off the golf course. Anyone can develop a great golf swing if they put the time and effort into it, but to have the certain mentality and personality that Rory has really makes him stand out from the rest. Among the other notables at the tournament, John Daly made the headlines, this time in a good way. Daly finished in a tie for 21st and played solid golf overall, with rounds of 74-68-67-69. Ian Poulter finished in a tie for fourth and Y.E. Yang finished in a tie for seventh.
