Today, an Atlanta, Georgia Heating and Air Conditioning firm (HVAC) made a stunning announcement. Mechanic's Heating and Air Conditioning, LLC., which services the entire metro Atlanta area including Marietta, Kennesaw, Alpharetta and Roswell, stated they had surpassed 3,000 documented happy and satisfied customer postings. Not only were they able to state this fact but provided evidence to prove it. In what essentially seems to be impossible, they have uploaded to their website www.airconditioningatlanta.com handwritten comment cards customers have produced during their service calls. But Mechanic's didn't stop there. Some customers were so pleased with their service that they agreed to take the time and pose for photographs with the technician who serviced them.....in total over 3,000 times and growing!
Mechanic's Heating and Air Conditioning, LLC. company spokesman Monty G. White, Jr. said, "We are thrilled to reach such a high milestone. Being able to see actual photographs and handwritten documented comments of happy customers with our air conditioning and heating service technicians gives prospective customers great comfort in using our company. For the last several years, Mechanic's has used the phrase, "The most trusted name in Air Conditioning, Heating and Home Comfort." Competitors and others have chastised Mechanic's for using that phrase telling them, "How can you say that? What proof do you have that your customers are happy and trust you?" The management and staff kicked it around. They wondered, "How do you prove such a statement?" Several staff members said conducting a survey might help but then thought of how many times a survey predicted someone would win an election and they didn't. Or another survey saying a product was good when it turned out to be a flop.

One day Monty G. White, Jr. reported to his staff, "We called several survey companies and they basically told us to tell them what we wanted to prove and with enough work and data manipulation, they could very likely produce a survey to back up that statement. Of course they also included the word money." The Mechanic's staff didn't feel good about that. "We felt that wasn't right or ethical. Paying for a survey was like buying a politician with campaign money or telling a company they can buy their rating like the BBB does." White added, "In situations like that, those folks will have to answer to a higher power down the road. We decided a photograph and a handwritten card would be evidence no one could dispute."
Incredibly, they did just that. Clicking through page after page of photos and comment cards convinces anyone that this is not staged. Sure someone could take a few photos of friends and relatives and obtain some handwritten comment cards but there is no way you could do it 3,000 times. The fact that 3,000 customers took the time to write out a comment card or have a photograph taken clearly proves the statement, "The most trusted name in Air Conditioning, Heating and Home Comfort." We will see how long it takes them to get to 4,000. No doubt not long.
