FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) January 6, 2012 --
Internist, clinical professor, lifestyle instructor and author with a heart for improving the health status of all of her patients; Dr. Omada Idachaba is on a mission to change how patients communicate their medical needs when they interact with their primary care physician and other specialists.
Her love of medicine began long before her Internal Medicine Residency completed at Michigan State University. Upon her completion, she set out to teach all patients that their opinions really matter.
Dr. Idachaba provided internal medicine services in the Saginaw/Bay area
in Mid-Michigan before offering occupational medicine to General Motors
employees in Lansing, MI. Dr. Idachaba later accepted an appointment as an internist with the Ingham County Health Department where she treated the adult indigent population by providing preventive and screening services. After a gratifying tenure with the Health Department, Dr. Idachaba partnered with the Capital Internal Medicine Associates. In 2011, she relocated and now provides internal medicine services at Family Physicians Group in Apopka, Florida.
Dr. Idachaba’s ability to translate her knowledge and training in medicine to everyday concerns and events has helped launch a new Patient Health Advocate Program named Healthfully Organized Living. The program was initiated based on her desire to see patients take an active responsibility for their health status. According to Dr. Idachaba, “It’s not hard to get the most out of your interaction with your physician, you have to be willing to have open dialogue and interact with them”. The value of her program is that it is designed for patients, caregivers, parents and children of patients that have an interest in the well being of their loved-ones.
In addition to her medical practice, Dr. Idachaba has authored several e-books and systems designed to help any patient get the most of their doctor’s visit:
“The Organized and Successful Patient’s Guide: A Doctor Visit Companion”
“The Doctor’s Visit Essentials System”
“Healthfully Organized Living Podcast Series”
“The Omada Idachaba, MD-Blog”
Dr. Idachaba is a Board Certified, Internist and is affiliated with the American College of Physicians. While at Michigan
State University’s School of Medicine she was awarded the Internal Medicine Award for Outstanding Intern of the Year (1996). From 2008 to 2011 she was an appointed Clinical Assistant Professor for the Department of Medicine-Michigan State
University. As part of her continued commitment to her community, she also offered her talents as a Lifestyle Instructor in the Design Your Life and Home Builders courses offered through LC3. Dr. Idachaba currently resides in Orlando, Florida.
