Memorial Service at Saint Patrick Cathedral this Wednesday to Honor the Dead of the 7.0 Earthquake that Struck Haiti in 2010

Dr. and Mrs. Kesler Dalmacy, Bishop Guy Sansaricq and Fondation 12 Janvier 2010 will host a memorial service on Wednesday January 12, 2011 at 10 A.M. at Saint Patrick Cathedral in New York City to honor and remember all those who passed away or were injur

(Free-Press-Release.com) January 11, 2011 -- Anoki Communication announces the celebration of a memorial service in honor of the hundreds of thousands who perished in Haiti during the January 12, 2010 earthquake. This Memorial will be held at Saint Patrick Cathedral on Wednesday January 12th, 2011 at 10 A.M. The service will be celebrated by Bishop Guy Sansaricq, and sponsored by Fondation 12 Janvier 2010 and Dr. Kesler Dalmacy

Representatives of the Media, distinguished business owners and professionals, government, international and diplomatic officials, and the Haitian Diaspora are expected to attend and pay their tribute to the victims at this event.

According to Dr. Dalmacy, during the main homily, Bishop Sansaricq will pay tribute to the victims, their families, the countless thousands who have been rendered homeless, widows and orphans by this devastation. Dr. Dalmacy further remarks that this mass will also give the opportunity for those in attendance to inscribe their final tribute to the victims and their families in an official book of condolence.

About the earthquake that struck Haiti

On January 12, 2010, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti and devastated the capital city, Port-au-Prince. Although the exact number was difficult to determine, reportedly more than 230,000 people were killed and 1.6 million are left homeless
