Meniga launches the new face of the online bank at Finovate Europe 2012

After winning Best of Show last year when unveiling the "Insights" section of its PFM solution, where PFM is made interesting and insightful through the use of "peer comparison", "gamification", "Social Media integration" and humour- Meniga was again shortlisted to demonstrate its solution in London on February 7, 2012 at FinovateEurope, a showcase of cutting-edge financial and banking technology innovations from leading established companies and hot new startups. Over 550 attendees witnessed firsthand the latest and greatest from 35 presenting companies including Meniga.

This year Meniga‘s focus was on bringing the power of PFM to the most used parts of online banks via its „Peace of Mind Banking“ project that is currently being implemented with one of Meniga's European retail banking clients. CEO Georg Ludviksson had this to say as he presented to the audience "Meniga is expanding its PFM Solution so that it completely merges with the traditional online/mobile bank, adding highly user-centric interfaces for several key online banking functions, such as bill-pay, alerts, and account presentation."

The interface de-emphasizes real accounts and actual balances and instead shows 'uncommitted balance' and virtual accounts that are better aligned with how people think about their money than traditional online banks. It allows users to automate routine tasks and includes an alert framework designed to bring peace of mind by alerting users before any bills goes unpaid or before any account's balance becomes too low to meet commitments and forecasted expenses. The solution responds to a market need of the retail banking sector: simple, clear, well designed, highly engaging actionable financial overview replacing the antiquated, sterile online banking interface most users see today.
