Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia descends on Moscow
From Frankie Morello and Costume National to Jessica Stam and Godfrey Deeny, top designers, models and writers come to Moscow in October.

Moscow, October 4, 2011, - Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia will commence in Moscow in Congress Hall of World Trade Center on October 21-25, 2011. The most prominent Russian fashion event will present over 80 Spring-Summer 2012 collections. Five days runway marathon will include the following top Russian designers: Slava Zaitsev, Tatiana Parfionova, Viva Vox, Bessarion, Dasha Gauser, Julia Nikolaeva, ChistovaEndourova, Leonid Alexeev, Lena Karnauhova, Biryukov, HakaMa, Tegin, Pure Vinnie, Yegor Zaitsev, Borodulin’s, The MuscoviteS by Masha Kravtsova, Lena Tsokalenko, Elena Souproun and Poustovit, with Costume National and Frankie Morello from Italy.
Moscow’s fashion week agenda will introduce Sri-Lankan designer Buddhi Batiks and Peruvian Sitka Semsch. Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana will present in Moscow a collective show of Italian new upcoming designers featuring Silvio Betterelli, Cristiano Burani, Mauro Gasperi, Leitmotiv and Chicca Lualdi Beequeen.
The list of international guests is led by top model Jessica Stam who makes her first appearance in Moscow. Chart-hitting Scandinavian musical band Gravitonas headed by Alexander Bard will drive the key party of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia on October 23.
This season, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia is proud to host an impressive number of young and emerging designers showing for their first time at World Trade Center. They include Rob-Art (designed by famous Russian photographer Katya Rozhdestvenskaya), UK brand Basharatyan V, NY based Von Vonni, Mari Axel, Vladislav Aksenov, Yanina Vekhteva, Olga Shikhova, Anna Slavutina, Maria Golubeva and Black Star brand created by famous Russian r’n’b artist Timati, to name a few. Debut lineup will also include graduates of Moscow Art Industrial Institute and fashion Laboratory of Slava Zaitsev.
Each season over 30,000 guests attend Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia. Two runway venues and one amphitheater offer designers an optimal space to show their latest collections. Also there are two presentation boxes on the venue at World Trade Center which allow designers to custom build a set in line with their artistic vision.
Strong business program of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia consists of master class by fashion journalist Godfrey Deeny (FashionWireDaily.com), Canon workshop for Russian photographers and two seminars dedicated to global trends and online fashion. This season, The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation is to introduce the program called New Fabrics and New Technologies within Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia.
