Meridian is pleased to announce that its turnover rate is currently at 3.1% per year, the national average for therapists is 9%.

(Free-Press-Release.com) February 11, 2010 -- According to the most recent statistics released by the department of labor, the turnover rate among non agricultural jobs in America was at 3.3%, the turnover rate amongst therapists was 9%. Meridian is pleased to announce that its turnover rate is currently at 3.1% per year. Meridian believes that these low turnover rates are a direct correlation to its strong management skills, great employee benefits package as well as the corporate culture that Meridian produces.

In July of 2009, Meridian held its first annual employee appreciation day in Phoenix, Arizona. Meridian gathered all of its therapists in its Arizona region and attended and water park followed by a trip to see the Arizona Diamondbacks play a Major League baseball game. This fun filled day was a meant to serve as a small token of appreciation that Meridian feels towards its employees and reward them for their hard work and dedication.

Even though Meridian saw three of its Minnesota contracts expire in the middle of 2009, revenues for the calendar year 2009 increased by 7%. These increased revenues were caused by increased efficiency among Meridian employees; these efficiencies were created through additional screenings, increased Medicare B caseloads and better communication with family members about estimated length of stay. Meridian prides itself that it has never, or will never, mandate treatment lengths or number of treatments that must be provided. Meridian empowers its employees to make their own decisions and ask each to keep profitability in mind. This approach has allowed Meridian to retain employees by reducing burnout that normally is found amongst therapy companies.
