MHBT Insurance Broker and Professional Business Group Facilitator To Receive Dallas' "Top 30 Under 30" Award

The youngest member of the Dallas-based Center of Influence Business Professionals Group is selected as one of the area’s “Top 30 Under 30” Future Leaders of Dallas.
Jason Scott , 28, is among the 30 young professionals chosen for the prestigious award presented by The Dallas Observer and BlackFinn American Grill – Addison. Honorees will receive public recognition Saturday night during a special awards ceremony and champagne toast at the restaurant’s Belt Line location in North Dallas.
Scott is the meeting facilitator and sits on the Advisory Board of the Center of Influence Business Professionals Group, a business-category exclusive networking organization that focuses its efforts on individuals who serve companies with annual revenue of $10 million and above. Scott is one of the charter members of the group, which meets weekly at his workplace McQueary Henry Bowles Troy LLP (MHBT), one of the nation’s Top 50 independent insurance firms in the United States. MHBT operates Texas-based locations in Dallas, Austin and Fort Worth.
At MHBT, Scott’s primary area of expertise is with client services in the benefits and sales side of the insurance business. Prior to joining MHBT in 2008, Scott worked in outside sales for a payroll company and has served as the lead liaison for an opening of a marketing firm of 35 employees in Chicago.
In addition to being an active member of COI, Scott serves as the Vice President of the Dallas Executive Club, a charitable group of young business professionals.
The Houston native earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Tech University in 2002 with a major in communication studies and a minor in marketing. He later earned a master’s degree in marketing and management from Texas Tech University.
He and his wife, Kaci – married less than a year – live in North Plano.
Recipients of the “Dallas’ Top 30 Under 30” award were selected from a pool of publicly- submitted nominees. The “Future Leaders of Dallas” winners were chosen by a panel of judges from The Dallas Observer and BlackFinn based on their professional achievements and contribution to the community. This is the first year of the recognition.
