Michael Beasley Hosts All Star Classic Osseo High School- Oct. 21, 2011

New YORK ,New Jersey, Connecticut, New York, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) October 14, 2011 -- Osseo, Minneapolis (October 14, 2011)-Michael Beasley of the Minnesota Timberwolves will be using his talents and time off to give back to the community. The Timberwolves Small/Power Forward, will be hosting the Michael Beasley All Star Classic on October 21, 2011 at the Osseo High School Gym 317 2nd Ave. NW, Osseo, MN. The tip-off for the basketball game will begin at 7pm and the doors open at 5pm.

Adding to the star power of this classic game will be celebrity coaches Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings All Pro Running Back, Nelson Peterson and Norm Nixon, retired NBA All Star with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Proceeds for the event will go to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery, MAD DADS of Minneapolis, and the Minneapolis Urban League.

About Michael Beasley: Michael Beasley burst upon the NBA scene after one of the greatest freshman years in college basketball. Drafted by the Miami Heat in 2008, Michael was an impact player, immediately providing support for the Miami Heat Star, Dwayne Wade. In the 2009-2010 NBA season he was the starting small power forward. “Doc” Rivers, coach of the Boston Celtics stated, “Offensively, I've been a big believer in him, I just think he can score. I said it two years ago: I think one day he may lead the league in scoring.” Beasley was one of the key components in the 2010 trade, which sent him to the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he is currently the starting Small Power Forward as well as one of the leading scoring members of his team.
