Michigan Government Financial Officers Association Hosts Spring Seminar
Announcing the MGFOA will be hosting their Spring Seminar on March 25th 2011. The conference will cover all sorts of financial topics that are concerning employers across the state of Michigan.

On March 25, 2011 the Michigan Government Financial Officers Association will be hosting their 2011 spring seminar. The Event will be held at James B. Henry Center for Executive Development in Lansing Michigan. The Event will start at 830am with registration and breakfast and will officially conclude at 5pm.
Speakers from across the state will be addressing issues that have been financially impacting employers in Michigan. Topics include Investing Due Diligence and GASB 40, Misunderstood Dangers of Special Assessment Bonding, Fraud, It's All Around You, New Electronic Payment Technology for Receivables and Payables, and Healthcare Reform will be the main focus of speakers during the day. These topics will be broken up into managable sessions that are made available through the day. Participants can attend all or whichever sessions they feel may be most beneficial to them. All speakers will be experts in the subjects they address, including Cornerstone Municipal Benefits Advisory Group President Mark Manquen. Speakers will be there to assist in answering questions and clarifying any grey areas that participants may have.
