Michigan State Association IBPOEW to hold its State Convention at the Marriott Centerpoint!

Pontiac, Michigan, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) May 18, 2011 -- The local chapter of the Improved Benevolent Protective Order of Elks of the World will hold its annual four day conference at the Pontiac Marriott Centerpoint. This convention will be attended by fraternal members from 11 lodges and 15 temples. "This is a great time for our city to shine" says Eudoxia Carr - Daughter Ruler of Crystal Temple. "We will be bringing a myriad of activities day and night to our hotel and our local lodge."

Each year the Michigan State Association and is Auxiliary makes donations to local charities in the city which hosts its convention. Recipients of these stipends include the Creative Arts Center Confetti Camp and the Centerstage to name a few. The Creative Arts Center will be presented with four scholarships and the Centerstage will receive a donation for its soup kitchen. Donations will also be made to organizations which service cancer and dialysis patients.

Evening activities include the Lady of Merit Contest on Thursday, the State Oratorical Contest on Friday and the Beauty and Talent Contest on Saturday.
