FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chapin, South Carolina, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) August 30, 2011 -- Columbia, SC – Microburst Learning is pleased to honor Adam Bintz of Clemson, SC, for his recent recognition by the University of South Carolina Career Center as the Community Internship Program’s Intern of the Year. Adam is a senior majoring in Media Arts and Theatre at the University of South Carolina and his parents are Tab and Rosemary Bintz of Clemson.

Bintz joined Microburst Learning in May to help with video production and editing for the company’s e-learning products, which include online training for corporate clients as well as the interactive Virtual Job Shadows used by South Carolina schools to promote career options. According to Microburst Creative Director Rebecca Bazzle, Adam came in during a period of multiple projects with tight deadlines and he was able to begin his filming and editing duties in a professional and collaborative way right from the start. “We placed him in some challenging environments and he immediately succeeded in building a rapport with the people he was filming,” Bazzle explained. “Adam quickly adapted to our deadline-intensive environment and used his strong organizational skills to work on multiple projects and concepts at one time. He has also helped his co-workers improve their filming and editing skills in a patient and friendly manner. He’s been a valuable addition to our team and we’re pleased to have him continue working with us this fall.”

“Adam has an inventive mind and has offered many valuable suggestions and ideas about video editing. His skills as a videographer have brought a new level of professionalism to our work. He is a self-motivated and dependable, and he does what’s needed to get the job done, even if it means working into the evening,” added Ann Brown, Chief Operating Officer at Microburst. “It has been exciting to watch Adam grow and learn as well as how passionate he has become about the work he is doing. We certainly appreciate all the hard work and creative ideas he has brought to our team.”

This is the second year Microburst Learning has participated in the Community Internship Program at USC and its second opportunity to work with the CIP Intern of the Year. Last year’s recipient was Sarah Langdon and she will begin a full-time position with Microburst upon her December graduation. Funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, the Community Internship Program provides matching funds to employers for the purpose of hiring USC-Columbia students as interns.
