The candidate needs to have an undergraduate degree from a college/university in the United States; they need to be no more than 4 years removed from college; needs to have Java development experience; need somebody who is sharp with a great attitude and aptitude for learning and eventually wants to move into a Lead role; any understanding of architecture (particularly an understanding of how different systems interact); they need to be able to grasp architectural concepts (Client won't be architecting anything, they just need to know how new concepts/technologies will be interacting with other systems - i.e. Client wants to implement kiosks - they'll need to understand what interactions will happen to make that work); they also need to be tinkerers - specifically they love figuring out how things work.
