Mid-state Safety Trainers Now Authorized For OSHA Outreach Training

Lynchburg, Virginia, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) October 13, 2011 -- LYNCHBURG, VA – The Mid-State Group of companies is pleased to announce that John Austin Basten has successfully completed OSHA training and is now an OSHA Authorized Trainer for 10- and 30-hour outreach courses. He joins Frank Goodwin, director of the new Mid-State Safety enterprise, as an authorized trainer.

Basten completed the OSHA Outreach Training Program in Ocean City, MD this week to add depth and experience to the new Lynchburg-based safety and health consulting company.

The OSHA Outreach program provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces in general industry. Many OSHA standards explicitly require the employer to train employees in the safety and health aspects of their job. Other OSHA standards make it the employer's responsibility to limit certain job assignments to employees who have undergone training.
