About PeaceDay.tv
The 2010 Peace Day Global Broadcast network will live stream multiple channels of Peace Day celebrations as they unfold around the planet September 17 through 21. Last year’s inaugural webcast was viewed by two million people while two hundred million participated in peace-building events worldwide. The Peace Day Broadcast was initiated in 2009 by Bill McCarthy, founder and president of Unity Foundation. PeaceDay.tv was initiated as the annual home in 2010 by Founders of PeacePortal.mobi, Stephen Fantl and Kevin Kerber.
This year's Broadcast is centered around solutions to the 8 United Nations Millennium Development Goals which have triggered unprecedented efforts worldwide in the fight against poverty, hunger, disease, a water crisis, and environmental destruction.
New technologies designed for improving all sectors of our society will be featured, such as "PlayPumps," a low cost solution where children play on Merry-Go-Rounds while providing water for entire African Villages, the World Food Programme, Action Against Hunger, Water.org, UNICEF, Unreasonable Institute, Nothing But Nets, One Laptop Per Child, Peace Portal, and other solutions for malnutrition like Plumpynut.
Sponsors for the event are now being sought. There are several different levels at which you can participate. Each level offers excellent worldwide exposure and promotional opportunities for your organization. All sponsor packages include airtime, inclusion of corporate logo on all marketing materials (posters, press releases, websites) before, during and after the event. As with the 2009 Broadcast, this year's broadcast will be available for continuous play following the recording of the live event, ensuring increased value to our participants, and augmenting the educational outcomes we hope to achieve. Contact us if you are interested in participating.
