Mina's Studio, Chapel Hill's premier full service salon, to host Grand Re-Opening Celebration Charity Event

Chapel Hill -- Free-Press-Release.com-- Sep 16, 2011 -- On October 1st 2011 Mina's Studio will host a Grand Re-Opening Celebration to benefit Anna's Angels Foundation, which raises funds for Down syndrome research. The event will be held from 10:00am until 2:00pm, at their newly renovated studio located in the Galleria Shopping Center at 400 S. Elliott Road in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

The expansion of Mina's Studio started in early 2011 with the goal to expand to meet the rising demand from the increased growth with winning various Best Salon awards. Although the salon has been updated over the 20 plus years in Chapel Hill this was a major renovation adding 1,000 square foot more space and updating existing areas creating a more modern feel and facilitating a better salon experience for their customers. “We're very excited about this renovation because it not only increases space for more services but also more accurately reflects the best in class service Mina's Studio provides”, says co-owner Louann Doran. Some of the changes include refined retail space to make it easier to find products, updated areas of the studio with green materials (such as our new flooring), an added classroom to enhance Mina's Studio ongoing industry education experience, and new front desk to assist our guests more efficiently.

About the cause: Anna's Angels Foundation:
In the spirit of giving back and supporting the local community Mina's will be celebrating children with Down syndrome. Proceeds from sales, raffle and auction will benefit the Anna's Angels Foundation, which raises funds for Down syndrome research at Duke University. This charity has special meaning to Mina's Studio with their accountant's son and their employee's daughter (as well as being co-owner, Alejandra Scott's niece) with Down syndrome. “This charity really resonated with us having that personal connection with Down syndrome and knowing this is benefiting local research”, said co-owner Alejandra Scott.
