MINI series cash registers transmit data by GPRS

(Free-Press-Release.com) December 7, 2011 -- The UNIDEX remote control system for electronic cash registers, developed by Unisystem, has acquired expanded capabilities.

UNIDEX provides data exchange between remote cash registers and a company’s accounting system. The first version of the unit, designed for use with MINI-500.02ME cash registers, was introduced in October 2009.

Now its capabilities have been boosted several times over, with the addition of support for other Unisystem cash registers: the MINI-500.03ME, MINI-600.01ME, MINI-600.04ME, and MINI-600.05ME, as well as the MINI-500.02ME in a new housing and with a new software version, 52-07. Any of these devices can now connect to the system if equipped with the MINI-1 GSM smart modem.

The advantages of the UNIDEX remote control system for electronic cash registers are obvious.

First and foremost, it is now possible to monitor cash registers located anywhere in Ukraine, from one central office. This does not require a company to purchase a powerful, expensive server and software, or to hire more staff to service the system. Unisystem provides all of those functions.

Secondly, hundreds of cash registers can be handled simultaneously. With GPRS communications, data can be received from all sending locations simultaneously, without setting up a queue. That means delay-free operation. This feature gives UNIDEX a distinctive advantage over similar systems using CSD data transmission technology.

Thirdly, even inexperienced users have no problems operating this unit.
UNIDEX is currently in use by several retail chains in Kyiv, Crimea, and other areas of Ukraine.
