Miniature world "Pryme" now available for exploration
Matthew Hornbostel of TriumphantArtists.com, has made a QTVR tour of a 1/24 scale handcrafted miniature world, and hopes to make a "multiverse" of explorable miniature fantasy landscapes.

Matthew Lyles Hornbostel had an idea one day while thinking about model railroad landscapes. His thought was this:
"Why do these always have to be viewed from above? Why can't we view miniature worlds from the perspective of a miniature person? Why couldn't there be a virtual tour of a miniature world?"
Taking a fisheye lens and panoramic stitching tools, he constructed a miniature world inside a box, a world he called "Pryme", and then captured panoramas inside it at a height of 3 inches. The result is a QTVR tour unlike any that has been seen before.
"Pryme" is an unconventional blend of handcrafted art and modern digital technology, allowing viewers to wander around in a miniature garden. But it's not the end. The creator of Pryme wants to make dozens of such worlds - a "miniature multiverse" - for web visitors to explore. This is a very exciting possibility for anyone who likes miniatures, fantasy worlds, or art generally.
"Pryme" is available now at TriumphantArtists.com.
